India lifts ban on export of leguminous crops
As expected, this measure will have a positive impact on margin of Indian pulse producers

The Committee on economic Affairs of the government of India on 16 November voted to lift restrictions on the export from the country all types of legumes, including peas and lentils, amid a record harvest in season 2016/17 MG and high carryover stocks (6 million tonnes), reports the United News of India.

Recall that the ban on the export of beans from India was introduced in 2006 due to a significant reduction in the volume of their production and, as a consequence, price increases in the domestic market.
