The Ministry of agriculture increased the forecast for grain harvest in Russia.
Russia's agriculture Ministry expects the grain harvest in 2018 at the level of 100-105 million tons, said agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev.

"I think for the year we will collect from 100 to 105 million tons grain", — said Patrushev journalists.

He noted that the grain harvest this year is fine, although started a few weeks earlier than last year, due to weather conditions. Grain yield is currently about 20% below last year.

 

"But, nevertheless, we have this year will be an average crop. This year is absolutely logical for our climate, our weather, the harvest," — said the Minister.

Earlier, the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation suggested that the grain harvest in Russia in 2018 will be in the range of 100 million tons. The wheat harvest is expected at the level of 64.4 million tons. In 2017, Russia received a record harvest in its history — 135,4 million tons in net weight, including the 85.9 million tons of wheat. The grain harvest in 2016 made up of 120.7 million tons.
