Over 27 thousand hectares of sunflower fields are scheduled for harvest in Inzhavinskiy district. In Tambov and Rasskazovsky areas of crop sown on 22 thousand hectares of fields. The total sown area of sunflower this year 367 thousand hectares.

Recall that in 2018 in the region was harvested a record in the history of the region, the yield of sunflower – 770 thousand tons (in weight after processing). Last year the Tambov region was in second place in the Central Federal district and eighth in the nation in sunflower production. The share in total Russian production by almost seven percent.
