The head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov commented on the detention by the Department of the FSB of an organized criminal group of ten "meat smugglers".

According to Aksenova, part of the gang was part of the staff of the Federal Supervisory agencies - customs and Rosselkhoznadzor. Now they also arrested. They were not the Crimeans, and sent to work at the checkpoints "Armyansk and Chongar" from other regions of Russia, in particular, from Belgorod and Lipetsk.

- Organized criminal group illegally pass the goods through the Crimean border, then loaded them on other vehicles and with the new fake documents were sent further on the mainland of the Russian Federation, told Aksenov. Moreover, he sent bivoltine, Danish and Dutch beef, but not Ukrainian producers, and not on contracts that were signed with entities on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to Aksenova, using the FSB in the criminal scheme was provided by the public organizations, including the all-Russian popular front.

- Gathered information, monitoring, talked with representatives of trading networks together to calibrate, shared with the FSB. This resulted in the implementation of this measure: arrested more than 10 people, but I'm sure their will be more.

Systematic work to identify smuggling from Ukraine on the Peninsula continues, and the government of the Republic coordinate this process with the Federal authorities and the FSB.

Recall that the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea prevented a major channel smuggling of meat on the Peninsula from Ukraine. At checkpoints "Armyansk and Chongar" seized 75 tons of meat products in the amount of tens of millions of rubles.
