Government support to farmers in 2017 will remain at current levels and will exceed 220 billion rubles, said Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting on measures of state support of selhoztovaroproizvoditeljam.


"Support to farmers in the next year saved below the level of the current year, i.e. it will remain at current levels – more than 220 billion rubles. This is the principled position of the government"
, — said Dmitry Medvedev, adding that it expects that these funds will work as effectively as in 2016.

He also reminded that Russia has managed to largely solve the problem of food security at the basic heading.

In the draft budget for 2017 for the development of agriculture laid 204,5 billion. According to the 2016 budget, the cost of the state program of agribusiness development in Russia was initially $ 237 billion rubles.
