Lack of capacity for storing grain in the Volga region is observed due to the large volume of the crop and large volumes of carryover stocks, said the President of the Russian grain Union Arkady Zlochevskiy.
"Storage capacity of grain in the Volga region is lacking due to the fact that we have a huge crop on the background of a very large carry-over stocks, and they simply have nowhere to fold", he said, noting that "the agriculture Ministry is making some efforts to expand capacity for the storage of grain, but it's mostly in Siberia, to the Volga region, the wave has not come yet".
