This was announced by the Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Kharon Amerkhanov.

The official acted as moderator for the thematic section "development Strategy of animal breeding: achievements and challenges for 2018" at the all-Russian forum of agricultural producers.

Amerkhanov said that the farming in Russia is actively developing, is expressing gratitude for the local farmers. The Director of the Department said that Russia is among the five largest producers of milk and meat in the world.

According to candidate over the past three years, the production of all kinds of meat in Russia increased by 1.7 mln tonnes of milk in the industrial sector, 1.3 million tons, eggs – by 2.9 billion pieces.

The representative of the Ministry of agriculture separately touched milk production, stressing that in the current year, state support measures will be maintained and possibly increased. Also Amerkhanov said that in the near future will establish a register of respectable producers and processors of milk.
