Spring field works in the fields of the region is in full swing. According to operational information of the Department of agriculture region, work on sowing of spring crops is almost 900 thousand hectares of fields. We will remind that this year for spring crops allocated more than 1.3 million hectares of fields.

Farmers Andreyevka district of the region have already completed the spring sowing, treating 95% of the acreage. Farmers Sosnowski and Zherdevsky areas planted over 80% of fields.

Culture-leader in the first sowing of peas is — it planted about 95% (53,5 thousand hectares). Barley is planted on 88% of the area (250 thousand hectares), wheat — 76% prepared for planting land (about 100 hectares), oats, 72% of fields (7.8 thousand hectares).

As for industrial crops, then sowing is made on 61% of fields (382 thousand hectares). Over 93 thousand acres — 83% — sown sugar beet.

On the sidelines of the Tambov region continued work on sowing of sunflower, corn, canola, soybeans, flax, mustard. Farmers in the region also plant potatoes, vegetables.

As previously reported IA REGNUM , in the Tambov region is implementing a complex of measures of state stimulation of development of agriculture. One of the main areas is the provision of grant support to farmers. State support in this direction gives a new impetus to the successful development of small farms. Priority areas include horticulture, dairy and beef farming, greenhouse vegetable production. The total volume of funds of grant support amounted to 270 million rubles in 2017.

In 2018, the programme of agriculture and regulation of markets of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs of the Tambov region for 2013-2020 to support beginning farmers planned to send 320 million rubles.

Just since 2012 in grant support was allocated to more than 793 million rubles, of which 669 million rubles — from the Federal budget of 124.5 million rubles allocated from the regional budget.
