Investment projects in the field of dairy farming for the sum about 2 billion roubles are being implemented in the Novgorod region, the entry of new enterprises at full capacity will enable the region to increase milk production by 12 thousand tons a year, said on Wednesday, TASS, the Minister of agriculture of the Novgorod region Elena Pokrovskaya.

"This year the company "Belgrankorm - Velikiy Novgorod" plans to put into operation a dairy complex for 400 head of dairy cattle in Crestcom area, the amount of investment of the project is 200 million roubles. Sales value of all investment projects in the dairy industry, are now created in the Novgorod region, is about 2 billion rubles," said Pokrovskaya, adding that the entry of new enterprises at full capacity, will provide the growth in milk production in the region of 12 thousand tons per year.

According to the intercession, three projects on construction of dairy farms are on the pre-investment stage, they are more than 2 thousand heads. Agricultural cooperative "Levochsky" Hvoyninskiy the district completes the construction and modernization of a workshop for processing of milk by capacity of 10 tons per day. JSC "Savino" has started construction of the plant a daily capacity of 6 tons in the Novgorod district. Enterprise "Action" plans to put into operation milk processing plant with a capacity of 2 tons per day in Lyubytinsky district.

As the Minister said, to motivate the producers to the regional law on investment activities was amended to provide exemptions from paying taxes on semt years by investing at least 150 million rubles in the construction of dairy farms.

According to the Ministry of agriculture of the Novgorod region, the volume of milk production in 2017, compared with the previous year decreased by more than 3 thousand tons and amounted to 75.8 thousand tons In 2018 profile Ministry plans to keep the volumes in 2017.
