Since the beginning of the current year all categories of farms of the region produced milk 616,2 thousand tons, including in agricultural enterprises – 410,3 thousand tons, growth made up 106.1% 109.2 per cent respectively," said Box.

Vice-Governor added that if we consider stable the number of cows, the main component of the increase in milk production is the increase of productivity of dairy cattle. According to the source, for 5 months of the current year provided for 3,325 thousand pounds from each cow, which is 10% more than in 2017.

"To keep these figures, work is complex, ranging from the provision of feed prior to the introduction of innovative technologies. And, most importantly, is the availability of state support – compensation of part of expenses of the milk producers in the form of subsidies," — said the Deputy Governor.

According to him, the Governor Veniamin Kondratiev supports this. So, in 2018 from the Federal and regional budgets initially earmarked 576,7 million rubles, but later the industry is further received from the regional budget 100 million rubles.

Milk production in the Krasnodar region in the year 2017 in all forms of ownership amounted to 1,038 million tons. The increase compared to 2016 amounted to 22.7 thousand tons.

According to the regional authorities, by 2030, the region plans to increase milk production to 2.1 million tons.

Krasnodar Krai remains the second in the country in milk production in the agricultural, the region is also the leader in the processing of dairy products. For the development of dairy farming in the region in 2017, has sent more than 1.1 billion rubles.
