According to the information-analytical system "Argus", the volume of imports of food products regulated by the Rosselkhoznadzor for the period amounted to approximately 95,18 thousand tons. This value is slightly above the average weekly volume of imports of similar products for the last three months.

70.6% of the imported over the past week, production had to feed and feed additives, which are traditionally in the lead among other groups of goods. The percentage distribution among other groups imported for a specified period of the following goods: "meat and Meat products (including prepared meat and fish products)" – 14,2%, "Milk and dairy products" – 9,2%, "Fish and seafood" – 5,5%.

A large share in imports occurred in beef (4,6%), poultry meat and products (3%), prepared meat and fish products (2,6%) and by-products (of 1.9%). The import volume of eggs sold amounted to 0.5% of the total import volume of food products for a specified period.

Over the past week and 15.7% of products imported to Russia from the countries of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU); and 5.3% are from Asia – Pacific economic cooperation (APEC); the 1.5% from EU countries. The main countries – trade partners last week were Brazil (65,1%), Belarus (14,5%) and Argentina (2.5 percent).

Trademark-geographical structure of imports, we can conclude that the EEU countries in the period from 6 to 12 August 2018 were the main suppliers to Russia of meat, milk and dairy products, eggs and products of their processing, whereas, the APEC countries accounted for the largest share in export of fish and fish products.

Delivery of products to the territory of Russia in the period under review was mainly carried out by road and sea transport. Road traffic made up 17,31 thousand tons. In container shipping had 12,45 thousand tons, bilge marine transportation amounted to about 63,16 thousand tons, rail transport – 2,22 thousand tons, air transport – 0,04 thousand tons.
