Chinese investors intend to invest billion rubles in the creation of enterprises for processing of birch in the Kirov region. The representatives of the National state timber Corporation of China said during a visit to Kirov, reported in a press-service of the regional government.

"Deputy Director of the Chinese timber Corporation Zhang Lifeng said that the company is interested in implementation of investment project on deep processing of wood in territory of the Kirov region and establish a logistics center", - told the press service. We are talking about the creation of the enterprise for the production of lumber, birch veneer, furniture boards and plywood, as well as on the construction of fuel pellet production. The total investment is expected to reach 1 billion rubles, and its implementation will allow to create about 200 jobs. The annual turnover will exceed 1.6 billion rubles.

The site, which could accommodate manufacturing enterprises is not yet defined. "We have eight promising sites where potentially could be used for construction of production", - said TASS Deputy Prime Minister of the Kirov region Maxim Kochetkov.
