Reportedly, the representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor noted the lack of transparency in the Indian quarantine authorities in respect of Russian suppliers of livestock products and grains.
During the meeting the parties also discussed the state of trade-economic relations between Russia and India in the field of agriculture, where "there is a serious disparity in favor of the Indian products."
In addition, representatives of Russian and Indian agencies identified a number of issues whose resolution would contribute to expanding the range and volume of products supplied, and identified mutual interest of cooperation in the field of agriculture, such as mutual investment, technological cooperation, strengthen cooperation of the regulatory authorities.
