The meeting also discussed the current state of the meat market, which recounted the chief expert on analysis and forecasting of the markets of National Union of pig producers Nikolay Birulin. According to provided data, the increase in total pork production according to the results of current year can exceed 250 thousand tons. He also noted the positive dynamics of poultry meat production, the growth of which in the beginning of this year was 7-8%, but has now fallen to 1.8%. For the first time in the last decade, there was a positive dynamics in the production of beef. For all groups of meat imports, particularly pork – by 75%. At the same time, according to experts, the Russian meat exports showing strong growth.
