Friday Mirziyoev the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, on a visit to Uzbekistan, visited the first Uzbek-Russian interregional forum in Tashkent.
"We need to increase our efforts to establish high-tech industries, to extend the cooperation for production of marketable products for the development of the markets of third countries," said Mirziyoev, speaking at the forum.
As an example of such cooperation he named the establishment of a joint textile cluster with the participation of companies from the Ivanovo oblast, joint production of mineral fertilizers, cooperation in the use of the infrastructure capabilities of the Moscow region and the Orenburg region for the organization of deliveries of agricultural products.
The Minister of economy of Uzbekistan Botir Hodjaev, summing up the forum, said that in the course of the meeting it was signed about 800 agreements and memorandums totaling more than $ 25 billion.
The forum involved the heads of 17 Russian regions and more than 1 thousand representatives of enterprises, companies and state agencies of the Russian Federation. It was organized by the Ministry of economy, trade and industry chamber of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation.
