Lipetsk farmers exceeded the plan by 5 thousand tons and increased the production volume of greenhouse vegetables in 2 times in comparison with the 2017 year (39.8 thousand tons).

So the region is among three leaders in the production of vegetables in greenhouses, giving the Krasnodar and the Stavropol Krai.

Large agricultural producers of the Lipetsk region collected in 2018 83,8 thousand tons of greenhouse vegetables, including cucumbers — 58,5 thousand tons, tomatoes — 24,7 thousand tons, eggplants and peppers — 665 tons.
