The head of the Grain Union recalled that the Ministry of agriculture forecast for this year is 108-110 million tons of grain. This is less than last year (112,9 million tons). "We expect that will increase. I think there will be more and squares, and judging by the condition of winter crops, if the weather be fine, the harvest will be more than 120 million tons," he said.

According to A. Zlochevsky, the area under winter crops for the harvest this year has increased by 538 thousand ha, their condition is mainly good and satisfactory. "We hope for a good Foundation for future harvest", - he said.

Citing data from the Ministry of agriculture, A. Zlochevsky said that the spring sowing this year will be increased by 1 million ha. "I don't know if this will be forecast, but judging by the pace of lending, and they are 7% higher than last year, preparation for planting is rapidly," he said.

Grain exports from Russia in the current agricultural year (July 2018-2019.) will be, according to the forecast of the Grain Union, 45-47 million tons. The USDA estimates exports at 42 million tonnes.
