As reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the law (bill number 9355-5) was signed by the President February 4, 2019.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada on 20 December 2018 approved bill No. 9355-5 on prolongation of moratorium on sale of agricultural land until January 1, 2020. The bill, in particular, stipulates that the Cabinet of Ministers until 1 March 2019 must develop and submit to Parliament a draft law on turnover of agricultural lands.

After the vote, the deputies Alexey mushak and Viktor Pynzenyk has registered two resolutions on cancellation of results of voting for the law on the moratorium in connection with "knopkodavstvo". However, at the hearing on 17 January, the Parliament did not support these rulings. Thus, the law should enter into force after its publication.

At the same time the deputies noted that for the period of absence of the moratorium of the transaction for the sale of land were not carried out because there is no law on the land market.
