In 2019/20 MG gross yield of rapeseed in India can reach 8 million tons
According to analysts of Oil World, in 2019/20 MG production of rapeseed in India could rise to 8 million tonnes compared to 7.1 million tonnes in the current season, which significantly exceeds the average for the last 5 years (6.3 million tons).

Due to predictable production growth, experts expect the decline in imports of oilseeds in the country with 5 thousand tonnes in 2018/19 MG up to 3 thousand tons in 2019/20 MG.
At the same time, analysts of the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) voiced a more optimistic forecast of rapeseed production in the season-2019/20 - at a record 8.5 million tons.
Experts of Oil World expects the increased production of rapeseed meal in India, in the new season to 7.2 million tons from 6.85 million tons in 2018/19 MG.
