The import of grain amounted to 23,239 million tons, 31% more than in the same period of the season 2017/18 (32% the previous week). The Agency said Grain Online with reference to the official journal of the EU.

EU countries exported 13,371 million tons of soft wheat. This is 10% less than on the same date of 2017/18 season (11% from the previous week). Import soft wheat amounted to 3,523 million tons, 12% more than in the same period of the season 2017/18 (12% from the previous week).

European Union countries exported to third countries 3,192 million tonnes of feed barley, which is 29% less than the same date last season (25% from the previous week). The main "culprit" of such adversity is Saudi Arabia, which is currently imported 36.1% less than the European barley than for the same period last season. Well, a little bit straighten just past the tender in the Saudi Kingdom.

The import of barley was 118,409 thousand tons, which is 71% less than in the same period of the season 2017/18 (71% the previous week).

EU countries exported 1,637 million tonnes of maize, 68% more than in the same period of the season 2017/18 (70% from the previous week). Imports of corn amounted to 17,931 million tons, 40% more than for similar date of 2017/18 season (41% from the previous week).
