The programme provides for strengthening Biosafety at road border crossings with the Russian Federation, Belarus and Ukraine, procurement of refrigerators for storage of carcasses of wild boars shot, laboratory studies, as well as the financing of the installation of a network of traps for catching wild boar.

In addition, we plan to reduce the population of wild boars as by hunting, and by sanitary ejection. Particular attention will be paid to the reduction in the number of females of a wild boar. Be a ban on feeding wild boar.

Of the total estimated costs for the program more than 80% (about 8 million Euro), the country will ask the European Commission to co-Finance from EU funds.

In 2018 in Poland was detected more cases of infection of wild boars ASF, than during the previous four years. This gives the experts a reason for disappointing forecasts that the current year may become a record in the number of foci of disease in the population of the wild pigs.
