The rating is based on the results of surveys of companies and data sector unions. Agroinvestor notes that in 2018, Cherkizovo Group increased its production of meat more than 47 thousand tons to 702 thousand tons (in slaughter weight).

The group increased its efficiency, has launched a new pork complexes in the Lipetsk, Voronezh and Penza regions. In production indicators "Cherkizovo" also included the production of "Altai broiler" in December 2018. The group announced the completion of the acquisition of that asset at Prioskolie 5 December 2018.

This year the Group plans to increase meat production to 1.1 million tonnes (live weight, excluding products of food industry). Thus, Cherkizovo will be the first company in the history of Russia, to break the mark of 1 million tonnes of meat production.
