Today in the direction of gastroturizm in Russia there are huge possibilities for business development. The main advantage of gastronomic tours is that they do not depend on the season – gastronomic tours can be made all year round. Gastroturizm attract investment to the regions, increase the tourist flow, developing local business, creates new jobs, contributes to the preservation of culture and environment.

The development of gastronomic tourism in rural and remote areas of our country increases employment and living standards. Russia is a multinational country with a vast territory, rich historical and cultural heritage, has huge potential for the development of gastronomic tourism.

Topical issues of cultural and gastronomic tourism in Russia will be discussed by the participants of the round table "Rural tourism as a driver of rural development". The event will be held on may 14, 2019, in pavilion 75 VDNH in the framework of the business program of the salon "Life of a farmer 2019". The roundtable supports the Committee of Federation Council for agrarian and food policy and environmental management.
