Spring crops as of may 20 was 915,8 thousand hectares or 34 % of the plan. While its pace is higher than last year - in 2018 was planted only 618,2 hectares, or 22.3 per cent. Of them sowed grains and legumes on the area of 611,3 thousand hectares or 31% of the plan (2018 - 401,9 thousand hectares to 19.4% of the plan). The highest figures show farmers Odessa, Taurida, Kalachinsk, Cherlaksky, lyubinskiy, Omsk, Kolosovsky, Nazyvaevskaya Novotroitskiy, sedel'nikovskiy and Znamensky districts of the region. The sowing of oilseeds amounted to 175,1 thousand hectares, or 56.2% of plan (canola, flax, soybeans, sunflower, ginger).

Planting vegetables conducted on an area of 2571 ha or 49.5% of the plan. Planting potatoes carried out on an area of 16.3 thousand hectares, or 51.6 % of the plan. Sowing of flax is in the Trailer, Bolsheukovsky and Znamenskoye areas, and the current date amounted to 1980 hectares or 39.7% of the plan.

Fertilizers are made on the area of 134,1 thousand hectares in the amount of 6.6 thousand tonnes of active substance (in 2018 on the area of 69,2 thousand hectares in the amount of 3.2 thousand tonnes). On may 20, acquired 17.7 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers in the active substance or to 95.7 % of the planned amount (in 2018 15.5 thousand tonnes). Organic fertilizer made on the area of 21,3 hectares in the amount of 825,2 thousand tons. Patraulea of seeds of grain crops in the amount 156,9 thousand tons (in 2018 141,2 thousand tons). Purchased elite seeds for sowing in 2019, more than 13 thousand tons (in 2018 - 11.8 thousand tons).
