CLAAS FORAGE HELPS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DAIRY INDUSTRY IN THE LENINGRAD REGION
On the "Russian field day" is the official dealer of the company CLAAS – LLC "AGROLOGOS" for the first time in the Leningrad region introduced a full line of forage machinery a world leading agricultural producer, selected taking into account regional conditions of doing agribusiness. According to experts CLAAS and other market participants, the Northern regions and, in particular, Leningrad oblast are the most promising area for the development of dairy farming in Russia[1]. According to analytical data and estimates of the company among all Russian regions in the 12 largest in terms of milk production, namely Leningrad oblast leads in the number of completed seven years of CLAAS forage harvesting machines. On the sidelines of the field working today four times more equipment for fodder under the brand CLAAS than in Altai Krai – the third largest milk production region of Russia. Also, the Leningrad region is 50% ahead of Moscow and 60% in Belgorod region.

Given the active development and potential of dairy farming in the Leningrad region, this year the official dealer of CLAAS, the company "Agrologos" to "Russian field day" presented the most complete and extensive range of forage equipment. In particular, farmers were shown: the medium power tractors ARION and more powerful machine AXION 800-series and 900-series in combination with disc mowers, the DISCO 3200 MOVE and DISCO 9200 CAS, the haymaker VOLTO 800 and 1700 TWIN LINER rake, forage harvester JAGUAR 850 with pick PU300 and telehandler SCORPION 741 with a pitchfork to capture bale. In addition, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the flagship of CLAAS sales on the Russian market of combine harvester of TUCANO 450 and get comprehensive consulting assistance regarding the operation of this machine.

 


[1] The region is among the leaders in annual growth of milk production in farms in 2018, the production increased by 2%, representing 34% of the total in the northwestern Federal district. Also, the Leningrad region is ahead of other Russian regions in terms of productivity, which reaches 8 531 kg of milk per year per cow, and average profitability farms with a similar level of production is close to 25%.
