"Farmers this year needs to collect about 700 thousand tons of rapeseed, about 7 million tons of cereals and 1.7 million tons of corn and 300-400 thousand tons of other crops. The result is about 9.7 million tons of harvest", - Lukashenka stated on Monday during the consideration of personnel issues.

"But if to remove grain, you can get 10 million tons", - quotes the President his press-service

"Everything here is calculated. Moreover, it is planned by the government: more than 9.5 million tons of everything from canola to corn to grain legumes. Therefore, there is nothing special," he said.

Lukashenko reminded that last week he demanded to use all reserves during the current harvesting campaign and to gather in the country for at least 9.5 million tonnes of grain including canola and corn, and expressed dissatisfaction with those who doubt the achievability of this figure.

"I read the reviews from the Internet: as always, we have "smart". They even criticized my statement that we must strive to 9.5 million tonnes of grain this year, lower than 9 is impossible", - said the President.

According to him, there are appropriate plans. "The head of the Administration is in control, and will rigidly control the government and, of course, you (the local authorities – Interfax)", - the President warned.

As reported, agricultural organizations of Belarus to July 29, removed grain and leguminous cultures (without corn, buckwheat, millet) by 39% of the area. Harvested by this date, 2 million 791 thousand tons of grain with an average yield of 33 t/ha.
