Agricultural production in Moldova decreased by 4%
In Moldova the gross agricultural production in the first half of 2019 was $294,7 million, a decrease of 4.2% compared to the same period last year. This was announced by the National Bureau of statistics, noting that we are talking about a gross output of agriculture in all categories of farms.

As noted in the NBS, the decrease in volume of gross agricultural products in January-June 2019 was determined by the decrease of vegetal production-by 8.8% and animal products by 3.2%.
According to official statistics, in particular, in the first half of 2019, compared to the same period last year, the farming of livestock and poultry (in live weight) in all categories of farms decreased by 3.1% — to 83.4 thousand tons.
