- Conducting such contests is an effective tool for identifying, supporting and engaging in the manufacture of talented youth, - said the Chairman of the government of the region Alexander Churin. - From promising young professionals largely depends the future of the industrial sector, including agricultural engineering.

To participate in the contest students of 2-4 courses of the bachelor and specialist degrees 2-5 courses of 60 higher education institutions located throughout Russia – from Moscow to the Far East. Young people should be trained on specialties connected with the development and design of agricultural machinery. Also the basic criteria for participation - high results in studying and research along with active participation in the life of the University.

The contest is held from February 5 to November 3, 2019, entries are accepted from 2 to 20 September 2019.

Results will be announced on 3 November, the day of the birth of Alexander Alexandrovich Izhevskogo. Up to 30 winners can receive cash awards, prizes and job offers from leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery.

According to the Director of the Association "Rosspetsmash" Alla Elizarova, for better informing about the contest a very important factor is support of the project in the regions: "every year the number of candidates for the award is increasing. In the process of promoting competition among students, of course, a major role played by the interaction of the organizers with universities. The shortage in engineering is a problem on a national scale, so we are interested in the fact that the project received active support on the ground."

The award was established in 2017. Its winners have already become 18 students from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Krasnodar territory, Irkutsk, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Rostov, Kurgan, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Kemerovo, Tambov, Belgorod and Samara regions, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
