Cargo turnover in August 2019 fell compared with the same period last year by 2.1% and has made 213,6 billion tariff ton-km freight Turnover taking into account the mileage of the cars unladen during the same period decreased by 2.1% and amounted to 271,2 billion ton-km.

Loading in January-August 2019, according to operative data, amounted to 850,5 million tons, which is 1.1% lower than the same period last year.

The Railways shipped:

• coal – 246 million tonnes (-1,3% to January-August 2018);
• of coke, 7.2 million tons (-0,9%);
• oil and oil products – 154,1 million tons (-1,7%);
• iron ore and manganese 79.6 million tons (+2,9%);
• ferrous metals – 50.1 million tons (forecast to be minus 4.6%);
• scrap – 10 MT (-0,5%);
• chemical and mineral fertilizers – 40.6 million tons (+2,7%);
• cement – 18.2 million tons (+5.7 percent);
• forest cargo – 29.3 million tons (-6,1%);
• grain – 12.6 million tons (-29,4%);
• construction materials – us $ 84.1 million tonnes (-1,3%);
• nonferrous ore and sulphur raw materials – 13.1 million tons (-3,3%);
• chemicals and soda – 17.5 million tons (-1,1%);
• industrial raw materials and molding materials – 23.5 million tons (1.4 percent).

Cargo turnover since the beginning of 2019 made 1734,1 billion tariff ton-km (+0,9%), cargo turnover with consideration of the mileage of the cars unladen – 2205,4 billion ton-km (+0.8 per cent).
