Primorye authorities on 1 August introduced a state of emergency in the Border region of Primorye due to the discovery of African swine fever (ASF) on a farm near the transition with China Pine Valley. In Rosselkhoznadzor reported that the cause of FMD is a transboundary movement of infected wild boars from the territory of the PRC.
The cause of infections in domestic pigs on the farm was a flagrant violation of the rules of their content.
