According to operational information of the district agronomy services on 1 October in the agricultural organizations of the Penza region received 1 012 thousand tons of sugar beet.
The average yield of sugar beet in farms in the region is 381 kg/ha.
In 2019 in the Penza region sugar beet have to remove the farmers from the area of 59.5 thousand hectares. It is planned that the harvest of sugar beet in the region will amount to 2 million tons.
At the end of last year in Penza region gross sugar beet harvest won the second place in Volga Federal district and the ninth in Russia.
As previously noted by the Governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev, the regional sugar beet growers work with the advanced agrobacter
"Modern technologies give the opportunity to plant odnolistovoe beets. This together with the special multi-level training allows the soil to guarantee almost one hundred percent germination of seeds sown, improves performance and collecting culture," he said during his September visit to one of the leading farms of the region, OOO "Burtonesque" Bekovsky district.
