According to entrepreneurs, this is due to the absence in Zimbabwe of foreign currency and the rising cost of living due to the devaluation of country's currency relative to the U.S. dollar.

At the same time the Zimbabwean government had to invest more funds in agriculture to replace obsolete agricultural machinery and the revival of the agricultural system in order to solve the problem of hunger and meet the food needs of its citizens.
