According to Afghan news Tolo News, just this year, farmers in Balkh province have yielded more than 100 tons of pomegranate.

A significant part of the harvest of pomegranates in Balkh province have been exported to other countries, mainly in India, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

According to officials of the Department of agriculture of the government of the province of Balkh, the main part of garnet is grown on the territory of the County of Hulme, the area of cultivated land is more than 3600 hectares.

According to the above statement, one acre cultivated land, the farmer grenades, could receive more than five thousand dollars.

The farmers themselves note that various refresher courses and other programmes have had a positive impact on the cultivation of agricultural products.
