The MP believes that the draft law "On viticulture and winemaking in Russia" contrary to the WTO rules and the technical regulations of the EEU.

"Believe me, there is no competition, we will not, and it will only lead to the fact that our wine will not be competitive neither in the world market, nor our consumers will be to use it instead of other alcoholic beverages", — Ivanov said during the plenary session.

Competition is the basis of everything, the MP stressed.

"And considering all things, we have wine will be expensive and inaccessible. It should be understood. I'm for that dons the wine was sold, and so forth, but it should be competitive wine, which people at the same price, guided by their taste or Patriotic qualities, will buy it, not because there is no other", he expressed fears.

The state Duma in the first reading adopted the draft law on viticulture and winemaking. The bill establishes a rule of measures of state support for the industry of viticulture and winemaking Russia, which should ensure the high quality of wine that will increase the competitiveness of the wine industry in the country as a whole.
