The bid prices for Russian sunflower oil are moving the global market. Bid prices for Russian sunflower oil is $715 per tonne for deliveries in March on the basis of FOB Azov, the monitoring showed Refinitiv.

According to the market operators, trade goes poorly. Active offer oil from Ukraine and large supplies further constrain the demand for Russian products. Market operators predict a continuation of this trend in the near future.

The weakening of prices on oil has led to reduction of prices for sunflower oil. The prices for sunflower has stabilized: the bid price fell below $400 per tonne, the offer price up to $405 per ton basis C&F Marmara sea ports.

Traders note interest from Turkish buyers of Russian sunflower, but with delivery in the second half of February and in March. The sunflower from Russia actively proposed for delivery in early February, but the demand from buyers is missing, according to market sources.

Ukraine, the world's largest exporter of sunflower oil, has increased exports by almost 60% in the 2019/20 season MG. Sunflower oil exports amounted to 1,958 million tons compared to 1,226 million tons last year.

According to the Ukrainian Association of manufacturers of sunflower oil, Ukraine exported 6,063 million tons in the previous season, from September to August 2018-1919 gg notes "КазахЗерно.kz".

The main exporters of sunflower oil are Ukraine (4.05 billion dollars), Russia (1.17 billion dollars), Argentina (464 million dollars), the Netherlands (375 million dollars) and Hungary (231 million dollars). The main importers are India (1,78 billion), China (590 million dollars), Spain (569 million USD), Turkey (549 million dollars) and the Netherlands (398 million dollars).
