Including in the southern Federal district spring sowing carried out on an area of 2.3 million hectares, or 40.4% of the forecast (2019 – 1.7 million ha) in the North Caucasian Federal district – 726,6 thousand ha or 38.1% of the forecast (2019 – 558,8 thousand hectares) in the Central Federal district – 3.4 million ha or 36.4% of the forecast (2019 – 1.5 million hectares), in the Volga Federal district – 412,6 thousand hectares or 2.6% of the forecast (2019 of 47.3 thousand hectares)in the North-Western Federal district of 30.9 thsd ha, or 6.7% of the forecast (2019 – 1.6 thousand hectares), in the far Eastern Federal district – 99.6 thousand hectares or 4.2% of the forecast (2019 – 48,1 thousand hectares).

Spring grain crops in the whole country was sown on an area of 4.4 million ha or 14.9% of the forecasted area (in 2019 and 2.4 million hectares).

Of these, spring wheat planted on an area of 769,5 thousand hectares or 6.3% of the forecasted area (2019 – 216.4 thousand hectares), spring barley – 2.2 million hectares or 28% of the forecasted area (2019 – 1.2 million ha), maize for grain – 563,6 thousand hectares or 20.6% of the forecasted area (2019 – 227.5 thousand hectares).

Sugar beet (factory) were sown 542,2 thousand hectares or 54.5% of the forecasted area (2019 – 334,6 thousand hectares).

Sunflower planted on an area of 1.1 million hectares or 13.7% of the forecasted area (2019 – 430,6 thousand hectares).

Spring canola is planted on an area of 98.6 hectares, or 7,6% of the forecasted area (2019 – 45,5 thousand hectares).

Soybeans planted on an area of 62 thousand hectares or 2% of the forecasted area (2019 – 20,2 thousand hectares).

Potatoes in the agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) planted on the area of 21,1 thousand hectares or 6.8% of the forecasted area (2019 – 20,2 thousand hectares).

Sowing early vegetables in agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) conducted on the area 25.9 thousand ha or 14% of the forecasted area (2019 – 19.5 thousand hectares).
