Including in the southern Federal district spring sowing carried out on an area of 4.8 million hectares or 84.1% of the forecast in the North Caucasus Federal district – 1.7 million ha or 92,2% of the forecast, in the Central Federal district 8.5 million ha or 90.5% of the forecast, in the Volga Federal district – 13.8 million hectares or 88.7% of the forecast, in the Siberian Federal district 9.8 million hectares, or 80.6% of the forecast, in the Urals Federal district – 3.1 million hectares, or 71% of the forecast, in the North-Western Federal district – 262,9 thousand hectares or 57% of the forecast in the far Eastern Federal district – 1 million ha or 44.1% of the forecast.

Spring grain crops in the whole country was sown on the area of 25.3 million hectares, or 87% of the forecasted area (2019 – 24.4 million hectares).

Of these, spring wheat planted on an area of 10.9 million hectares, or 89.2% of the forecasted area (2019 9.8 million ha), spring barley – 7.1 million hectares, or 90.4 percent of the forecasted area (2019 – 7 million ha), maize – 2.7 million hectares, or 99.6% of the forecasted area (2019 – 2.5 million ha), rice – 162,2 thousand hectares or 82.2% of the forecast area.

Sugar beet (factory) were sown 929,1 thousand hectares or 98.3% of the forecast area.

Flax was sown on the area of 37 thousand ha or 76,1% of the forecast area.

Sunflower planted on an area of 7.4 million hectares, or 91,1% of the forecast area.

Spring canola is planted on an area of 1.1 million ha or 81.7 per cent of the forecast area.

Soybeans planted on an area of 2.1 million hectares or 65,1% of the forecast area.

Potatoes in the agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) planted on the square 227,3 thousand ha or 73.6% of the forecast area.

Vegetables in agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) planted on an area of 138.5 hectares, or 74,7% of the forecast area.
