In particular, the volume of wheat exports from Russia at this stage is estimated at 37.5 million tonnes (+8.7 percent), barley – 3.8 million tons (+8,6%), maize – 4.3 million tons (+7,5%).

As analysts explain, the expected export growth will be driven by higher estimates of grain production in Russia in 2020, in comparison with last year's figures. The updated estimate of the total gross yield of grain at this stage is about 125 million tonnes, which is 3.2% higher than the previous season.
