For providing the peninsula with fresh water some projects are considered: construction of a plant on desalting of sea water, water supply system construction from the territory of Kuban (the so-called "Kuban Water" project), creation of reservoirs on Taman Peninsula, and also development of underground fields of fresh waters in Dzhankoysky and Nizhnegorsky areas.
Deliveries will be carried out through the Kerch Strait.
The Ministry of Agriculture prepares a regional program for the Crimea for this purpose.
