The Governor of Primorye Vladimir Miklushevsky has told the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev about the plans and achievements in the industry at the meeting, which was held today in Vladivostok. "When I was appointed Governor, arable land was used by 45 per cent, now at 65 – percent utilization we increase every year, – said Vladimir Miklushevsky. – Almost completely provide ourselves with potatoes and vegetables of open ground. 80 percent of increased production of corn, half – soybean production by 10 percent – milk production, of course, this figure should be increased. And, of course, applied breeding and seed production, recognizing that it is important to provide themselves with their own stock of seeds, and produce them taking into account the climatic conditions of the territory", – he told.

The Minister of agriculture, in turn, noted that the task is not only to feed the local population, but also to enter export markets, not to mention the development of fishing clusters.
