In the regions southern, North-Caucasian, Central and regions of Volga Federal regions continue spring field work.

As of March 22, 2016 in the whole country of 16.4 million hectares are fed up 6.8 million ha (in 2015 is -5.9 million) or 41.4% of the sowing areas of winter grain crops. Including in the southern Federal district is 3.5 million hectares, or 68,1% of the sowing areas, in the North Caucasian Federal district – 1,2 million ha or 52.4% of the sowing areas, in the Central Federal district – 1.6 million ha or 42.4% of the sowing areas, in the Volga Federal district – to 131.7 thousand ha, or 3.2% of the sowing areas. In the Krasnodar territory and Republic of Adygeya carried out a secondary dressing of winter grain crops.

Spring sowing in the whole country carried out in the area 769,1 thousand hectares (in 2015 – 559,4 hectares) or 1.5% of the forecast. Including spring grain crops were sown 579,8 thousand hectares or 1.9% of the forecast.

In the southern Federal district – 350,3 thousand hectares or 5.6% of the forecast (2014 – 317,3 thousand hectares).

In the North Caucasus Federal district – 266,1 thousand hectares or 14.7% of the forecast (2014 – 182,3 thousand hectares).

In the Central Federal district – 19,5 thousand ha or 0.2% of the forecast (2014 – 11.1 thousand ha).

Sugar beet in the Krasnodar territory and the Chechen Republic planted on an area of 5.0 hectares and 0.6 hectares respectively.

Sunflower for grain in the Chechen Republic and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania planted on an area of 0.7 hectares and 0.5 hectares respectively.

In some regions of the southern and North Caucasian Federal districts is planting of early potato and sowing of vegetables. In General, the potato in agricultural organizations and peasant (farm) planted on the area of 1,1 thousand hectares or 0.3% of the forecast, the vegetables planted on an area of 4.8 thousand hectares or 2.4% of the forecast.

On the territory of Crimea are fed up 301,9 thousand hectares or 73,1% of the sowing areas. Spring sowing campaign in the Crimea an area of 133,2 thousand hectares or 53.5% of the forecast (2015 – 48.7 thousand hectares).
