The first half of may in Bulgaria was characterized by unstable weather conditions with high rainfall, which prevented the course of sowing of spring crops.

According to the Ministry of agriculture of Bulgaria, as of may 5, sowing of spring barley conducted on an area of 2,732 hectares, which is 57% less than was sown on the same date last year.
