The export of grain and other food from the Rostov region to Cyprus at the end of 2015 fell by more than 63%, according to the regional government.

However, imports overall grew by 25%, the bulk of purchases are plastic products and chemical products. The data were announced after the last June 6 meeting of the head of the Ministry of economy of the region Maxim Papushenko with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus Georgios Kasoulides.

The main objective of the meeting was to discuss tourism cooperation. According to Georgios Kasoulides, don has the potential to attract huge number of tourists, especially in 2018 year. "Russia and the Rostov region are becoming more attractive for the Cypriot tourists," said Georgios Kasoulides.
