This program allows you to largely solve the problems with sales and supply that arise from Syrian farmers. The project involved more than 1.5 thousand farmers. The area under wheat amounted to 2340 ha.

By the end of June already collected 9,36 thousand tons of wheat. One part of this will be used for the production of bread, the other part will be cleaned and resold to farmers at minimum prices, the third part will be used to increase the sowing areas of wheat in the next year.

Project support for wheat production has been launched in the 2014/15 season. Thanks to this project Syria will try to resume the cultivation of abandoned lands, create jobs, increase production of wheat to an acceptable level and to reduce dependence on foreign food aid.

For the successful implementation of the project, the Union worked closely with other organizations that support production of wheat and also provided farmers with 585 tons of seeds and 585 tonnes of fertilizer. He is satisfied with the result and willing to continue this work. In addition, the Union plans to establish a specialized centre for the restoration of Syrian wheat.
