This was announced by Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Chechen Republic crop of Khan-Pasha Mathew.

"Favorable weather conditions helped farmers of the Chechen Republic to sow more than 80 thousand hectares of winter crops. A big part of it is winter wheat, which is sown 54 933 ha, followed by barley - 20 859 hectares, rye - 1419 ha, rapeseed - 1155 hectares, and 4352 hectares sown for green fodder", — said H. Mathew.

He noted that over the past two years was held a large amount of work on the revival and development of the agroindustrial complex of the Republic. According to him, in 2010, despite the abnormal heat and drought, was successful on all counts.

"Compared to 2009, we have positive moments. If last year we received just over one hundred thousand tons of grain in 2010, we harvested 120 thousand tons of grain, that is 20 thousand more tons. Sugar beet this year, we gathered about 40 thousand tons, while in 2009 the harvest of sweet root vegetables amounted to 19 thousand tons. The results of the autumn-field works also good: in all categories of farms of the agriculture of the Republic of sowing of winter crops has exceeded 83 thousand hectares," — said Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Czech Republic.
