Gross grain harvest in Adygea on the results of the harvesting campaign in 2016 will increase by 60 thousand tonnes to 720 thousand tons.

According to data that was announced by the Minister of agriculture of Adygeya Republic jury Petrov at the meeting with head of the Republic Aslan Tkhakushinov, the Prime Minister of RA Murat by Koumpilova, this year gross harvest of winter crops in Adygea for the first time exceeded 521,1 thousand tons of grain, which is 26 thousand tons more than last year. The average yield also reached a record at 52.5 kg/ha.

The main part of the harvested crop falls on winter wheat - 455,6 thousand tons, the 61.8 thousand tons of winter barley collected, 8.8 thousand tonnes of winter rape. Also completed the harvest of spring crops - from 50 thousand hectares 41.2 thousand ha of grain corn.
