A new indicator of export activities amounted to 9,306 million tons, the materials of the Federal customs service (FCS) of the Russian Federation.

The vast majority of grain - 8,947 million tonnes (96.1% of total volume) was exported to foreign countries. In comparison with January-June last year, exports to non-CIS countries increased in 1.8 times. In CIS countries it was delivered 358,7 thousand tons of wheat, which is lower than previous year by 1.7 times.

In monetary terms the total supply of wheat abroad increased for the six months 34.1%, to 1,636 billion dollars. Wheat exports to non-CIS countries grew in dollar terms by 44.8% to 1,573 billion to the CIS countries - on the contrary, decreased by 2.1 times, amounting to 62,8 million dollars.

At the same time, the Russian imports of wheat in January-June increased 3.6 times - up to 331,4 thousand tons to 48.7 million dollars. Barley imports increased 4.9% to 30.4 thousand tons (4.4 million dollars), imports of maize decreased by 7.8% to 26.1 thousand tons (90.7 per million).

Russia to stabilize the situation on the domestic grain market from 1 February 2015 introduced export duty on wheat. Her formula was changed several times. The current fee is valid from 1 October last year and is 50% of the customs value minus 6,5 thousand rubles per ton, but not less than 10 rubles per ton.

According to the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation in 2015 year it was raised to 104.8 million tons of grain in net weight, the Ministry's forecast for the crop in 2016 amounted to 106 to 110 million tons. In the 2015-2016 crop year (July 2015 to June 2016), Russia exported a record 33,893 million tons of grain, including 24,604 million tons of wheat.
