Tyumen oblast is planning to sell grain to China
The government of the Tyumen region and the Russian grain Union signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of the development of agriculture and regulation of agricultural markets, raw materials and food up to 2020

Signatures under the document of August 24 set by the President of the Russian grain Union Arkady Zlochevskiy and the Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev.

"The agreement will provide for the sale of surplus grain outside the region, including exports and contribute to price stabilization in the grain market in the region, especially in years with high yield"
, — said the head of the region and added that it expected the grain harvest in the current year will be 1.5 million tons.

According to Arkady Zlochevsky, the interaction with the subject will allow to consolidate efforts to align the regional disparities and providing liquidity to the grain market.

"The most important question, which is on the agenda in front of all players: where to sell products? Our goal is to facilitate the sale of grain from the Tyumen region beyond the region and to increase the liquidity of the product within the territory, for example, through processing" — he said.

In particular, Tyumen cereal interested in China and in other countries of the Eastern region. But there is one problem - a high tariff for railway transportation. One of the main tasks for the parties of the agreement is the consolidation of efforts and the establishment of lower cost transportation.
