Canada reduced wheat exports by almost 20%
Since the beginning of the season Canada exported 3.1 million tons of wheat, which is 18% lower than the same period last season, according to Canadian grain Commission (CGC)
Exports of soft wheat fell by 24% and amounted to 2.6 million tonnes, also increased export of durum wheat (+24%) to 0.6 million tonnes.
Despite the fact that at this stage the rate of export of wheat is much behind last year, exports for the entire season (August-July) may be similar to that reported last season.
Previously, the USDA improved the Outlook of export performance, both soft and hard wheat from 21.5 million tons to 22.0 million tons. It is known that last season, Canada has supplied to foreign markets 22,134 million tons of wheat.
