India will increase imports of grain next year
Because of the low grain stocks in India and its poor quality, the millers of the country has to increase imports of wheat

Trend will continue next year, according to the Federation of millers of India.
The milling industry requires about 22-25 million tonnes of wheat for the production of various types of flour – says the head of the Federation. Stocks in the country on December 1 stood at 16.6 million tonnes, the lowest level for the last 8 years.
Expected to March 2017 India will purchase 3.85 million tons of wheat. To date, the country has already shipped 1.6 million tons of imported wheat.
